Account deletion via email is typically processed within 7 business days.
What Will Be Deleted
The following personal data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems:
Account information (name, email address, profile photo)
Learning progress (lessons completed, XP earned, daily streaks)
Achievement records and milestones
Flashcards you created
HSK mock exam results, including essay responses and AI-generated feedback
AI conversation history
Pronunciation practice records and scores
Notification preferences and learning goals
What Will Be Retained
Only the following non-personal data is retained after account deletion:
Anonymized usage analytics for aggregate trend analysis (no personally identifiable information)
Crash logs (anonymized, no personal data)
Retention Period
Personal data is permanently deleted from our active systems within 30 days of your deletion request. Backups containing personal data are purged within 90 days as part of standard backup rotation policies.
Subscription Cancellation
Important: Account deletion does NOT automatically cancel your active premium subscription. You must cancel separately through the platform where you subscribed.
Android (Google Play)
Open Google Play Store → tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → SayNiHao → Cancel subscription
iOS (Apple App Store)
Open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → SayNiHao → Cancel Subscription
Refund requests are subject to Google Play and Apple App Store refund policies. SayNiHao does not directly process refunds.
